Argentina Cannabis Law

Argentina legalized medical and scientific cannabis in 2017 (Law 27,350) and has progressively expanded its framework through subsequent regulatory updates. In 2020, the government authorized self-cultivation for medical use and established REPROCANN (the National Registry of Persons Who Self-Cultivate Cannabis for Medical, Therapeutic, or Palliative Pain Purposes). Argentina's large pharmaceutical industry and medical infrastructure provide a foundation for medical cannabis product development.

Argentina amended its regulations in 2022 to allow industrial hemp cultivation and CBD product manufacturing, creating new opportunities for agricultural and consumer product exporters.
